Granby Workshop showcases a new collection of playful ceramic bottles, cups and jars. Handmade in Liverpool, the range consists of ten simple forms designed for everyday use, exclusively available at their pop-up shop alongside other Granby Workshop favourites.
Each piece is made by casting liquid clay in a unique system of stackable modular moulds. The process was first developed during a residency in Japan, where the workshop team spent four weeks producing and firing pieces in a traditional wood-fired climbing kiln. The range has been reinvented for ongoing production back in the UK, drawing on local materials, firing methods and the workshop’s ongoing experimental manufacturing ethos.
The new products are exclusively available from the Granby Workshop pop-up shop, alongside a selection of other favorites from their range. This launch is the first in an ongoing collaboration which sees Granby Workshop return to the Kiosk N1C space on Lower Stable Street in Coal Drops Yard on a bimonthly basis throughout 2019 to release new products.
